This metaphor from the STAR WARS movies is perfectly apt, because, who should show up at the end of this total piece of trash but actor Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself, in a vulgar spoof of the mythic space opera made super-famous, and super-successful, by movie impresario George Lucas.ĭirector Kevin Smith plays Silent Bob, the mostly mute half of a duo of drug dealers who get upset when they learn that their friend has sold a comic strip based on their lives to real life Miramax Films. Very unhappily, the young audience at the screening seemed to completely embrace this filthy-mouthed, disgusting, contemptible work, proving once again that our culture is not just slouching toward Gomorrah, it’s hurtling toward that pit of perversion at hyperspeed. Just when you thought the stoner drug comedy was dead, along comes Kevin Smith’s (DOGMA and CLERKS) new comedy JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK.

(PaPaPa, HoHoHo, AbAb, PC, LLL, SSS, NN, A, DDD, MMM) Strong, vile pagan worldview in a comic vein advocating sexual hedonism, strong homosexual behavior & drug dealing, with anti-Christian joke when pagan protagonists run into a nun & some leftist political correctness about 405 mostly strong obscenities, 10 profanities, many obscene gestures, & a constant barrage of graphic dialogue about sex, plus some toilet humor solid slapstick violence such as pratfalls, being thrown through the air, sword fight, punching in the groin, actor shoots prop shotgun at another actor who flies through the air, cop shoots someone in an animal costume, martial arts fighting, gunfire, chase scenes, van blows up, & people beaten up almost constant, very crude references to fornication, homosexuality, masturbation, or bestiality, plus woman seduces young man & depicted French kissing rear male nudity, some revealing clothes on women, women in underwear, & at least one strong visual reference to male private parts through man’s pants alcohol use pot smoking through pipes, young man dangles bag full of marijuana cigarettes & protagonists are drug dealers who at one point run into two other drug dealers, all of whom belong to a drug dealers “union” and, constant lust, female jewel thieves pose as animal “rights” activists & thieves convince protagonists to steal a lab orangutan. One thing’s for sure, however, many parents, teachers, pastors, and taxpayers will have to deal with the horrible effects that this and other ill-conceived pagan garbage will have on the world’s children and their descendents. Hopefully, JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK will not play in Peoria, as the saying goes. Chris Rock, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, George Carlin, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill make appearances to laugh at themselves and make light of sexual promiscuity, including homosexuality. Filled with constant use of the “f” word and a continual barrage of graphic sexual dialogue, the movie follows this not-so-dynamic duo across country to Hollywood, where a lot of Hollywood in-jokes occur.
Jay and Silent Bob decide to go to Hollywood to stop the movie, because, first, their friend isn’t giving them any of the sale price and, second, because people are making fun of them and the movie on the Internet. Director Kevin Smith stars in JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK as the mostly mute half of a duo of drug dealers who get upset when they learn that their friend has sold a comic strip based on their lives to real life Miramax Films.
